Each decision is every decision
I’ve been thinking about how much of my decisions are dictated by momentum rather than willpower. If I’d gone to gym after work like I’d planned, I wouldn’t have just ordered Uber Eats. If I’d gone to bed at the time I planned, I wouldn’t be justifying having a fourth coffee today. In either case I could be equally motivated lose some weight, or reduce my caffeine-induced anxiety. But in each case what caused me to make the wrong decision was a decision I made yesterday, and the day before yesterday, and the day before that.
Each decision is every decision.
